The last time I blogged I had one daughter and wasn't pregnant, now I have an 2 1/2 year old and an 8-month-old! Life is a constant adventure around the Robinson house and I want to keep everything documented! Here is a picture from a recent trip to the Ft. Worth Zoo. </div><div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqbVMHQTM_0zjIfX-KDt4xhOQzKVE9gBxZnzc4oni4zsVDo8kceIkhW6o_9qXIK172FFqbzpyyMeUoI7_QXTqzwDSp-CT3jkam4g5IVYUppYAvsMnL9gtYEy1Hy7oE6R3KgB0In0OCR2Xv/s1600/DSC06608.JPG" onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqbVMHQTM_0zjIfX-KDt4xhOQzKVE9gBxZnzc4oni4zsVDo8kceIkhW6o_9qXIK172FFqbzpyyMeUoI7_QXTqzwDSp-CT3jkam4g5IVYUppYAvsMnL9gtYEy1Hy7oE6R3KgB0In0OCR2Xv/s320/DSC06608.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5724690191207678418" /></a><br /><div><br /></div></div>Leah Robinsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01372218966736641252noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7490071118463673723.post-14551352320595983112010-10-18T17:12:00.013-05:002010-11-12T15:28:08.023-06:00Tech Football & State Fair!<div><div><div><br /><div align="left"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5538755603251117314" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOHjWjdLbhUQQR9xfqnfDDS6zev2d_m-dRSptuBtMsOPtRyDIcNgU4p7edzjqh_bNJjaGy1v9-WC9xctfmeZJoF03B9bw_dylAm2asHhIf1Ns4IE8jGIgC6ZLdrvzw9aflhPVPBK0n2sau/s320/ferriswheel.jpg" />This post is WAY over due! I started it a month ago! The weekend of October 8<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">th</span>, Ryan and I went to the Texas Tech vs. Baylor football game at The Cotton Bowl. Since the game was at the Texas State Fairgrounds we spent the afternoon at the fair and then stayed for a concert by one of our favorite Texas country artists, Wade Bowen. Grace went to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">Neena</span> & Poppa's house for the weekend to give us a much-needed <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">weekend</span> together. She had GREAT time! </div><div align="left"><br /></div><div align="left">Friday night we were sitting around trying to figure out what to do without a 13-month-old and two of our favorite people, Aimee and Caleb Rosier, invited us to dinner. We went to <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">BJ's</span> Brewery and had a great time! I laughed so hard my face hurt! </div><div align="left"></div><div align="left"><br /></div><div align="left">The next morning we invited our friends going to the game with us to our house for breakfast. It was an early morning but a very yummy. After breakfast we headed to the train station to take the DART to the fairgrounds. We had a great time! When we realized how loud they were we decided to go outside and check it out. There were 3 huge firetrucks, a fire marshall, and tons of firefighters in full gear. The neighbor smelled smoke when she got home and called the fire department. Thankfully, it was a false alarm and everything was fine. I asked the firemen if the kids could look in the truck. The firemen was very nice to the kids and more than happy to show them around the trucks. The kids were soooo excited to sit in the firetruck and meet REAL firemen!</span> </div><br /><div align="center"></div><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522413894066459986" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh9Ket-KKhe912PRxYM8dG12JMLR3w6AsZ-y710gaszp4h0ZoHXcfoaXfPaJRq3fHBubzd3Ks0XdwHxVb6SSQ0__TEGPTgdnYbur55-ZNJBqtOpeYnucKFEpzDlhxhJZYwyHsfOqOcSf8QN/s320/fire2.jpg" border="0" /> </p><p><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522414074623285010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGHF3xwHgY9zr1MxLzqZpkAL-Fl7C6w7YeJKtMrChf35eEx13trvLpCbSnLdfIasVw15LJ8QDpvJpsHPzV2gJgqlKs2g-U5drCv00MobmXPSbzgSgir6n_HqLiDOsyqYRsnDs_xQb6mhXZ/s320/fire3.jpg" border="0" /></p><p align="left"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522703165444347762" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOzKmpJrPM_0pzB6Zc2OSfhvY8IaLYY03he1IXaV9wC7tVqQMrz6PlWd7KWc2ZGhZG27t5UQL6cl43btIU7ehIOqCiu_DfKwtebq9Fud7K4N8UTJPtdEL3ajVynMGZbWQTQX1qRqOeVZQY/s320/fire5.jpg" border="0" />David woke up just in time for us to run back outside and jump up in the truck.<br /><br /><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5522413685093679474" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipi5mlRm7MM8tSbPL2BqXvs91sEqv4LuWwYhh_A_Wkivy9Q0P-hr3qIrdhIhTRNC-_4dhFoz4BMWDAsPUCrN4Z7JaHVdqdUcvxl9ObSEkaKXAF6JnQxwyC6gxzhbGHT38zdDcZU-1lVKzQ/s320/Fire1.jpg" border="0" /> <span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;">Love, </span></p><p align="left"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;font-size:130%;">Momma L</span></p>Leah Robinsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01372218966736641252noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7490071118463673723.post-75596688539369608802010-09-24T15:27:00.004-05:002010-09-27T11:00:02.026-05:00MOPS!Friday Grace and I went to <a href="http://www.mops.org/">MOPS </a>(Mother's of Preschoolers) for the first time. The first class was actually two weeks ago but Grace was sick so we couldn't go. I really enjoyed it and Grace did GREAT in childcare. It was wonderful picking her up and being told by three different childcare workers she was the BEST baby, she didn't cry once. She loves playing with other kids. Our guest speaker, Melissa Hill, was great! She talked about her husband's awesome ministry, Mercy Street. Click <a href="http://www.mercystreetdallas.org/app/">here </a>to find out more about the incredible things God is doing in West Dallas. Melissa also has a blog that is very fun to read about her adventures in "the hood", <a href="http://www.alongwayfromthethetahouse.com/">A Long Way From the Theta House</a>. The entire time Melissa was talking I couldn't help but think I had met her somewhere before. At the end of the class I got to talking to her and asked her if we had met or if she knew my mom or brother. Low and behold her kids go to the same school as my niece and nephews, I must have seen her at the school or a game. What a small world!<br /><br />I don't have any pictures of the day but here is a cute one from the weekend. Have a blessed week!<br /> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5521623206810699234" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLBuBFXargJMglPZxPQ9jogzayzFaAwEG6L5xoOBWRvTTd79y2rAsvt5V8rPaDW5FSF5PiIfpsoASc8dOgnkhtXhg1eirakz34RJjJbonso2HsKxP9ciiQWH12Ga-7djAQSklg_ZqGkaWm/s320/Grace-12.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Love ~</span><br /><br /><span style="font-size:180%;">Momma L</span>Leah Robinsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01372218966736641252noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7490071118463673723.post-35476497135564683842010-09-18T11:22:00.004-05:002010-09-18T11:45:15.016-05:00Guns Up!<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3f-N1GN6eIMlMex4A_VRmp3t7v-5ZRx4fR3q9mBsVIw-R3MevF-zEv0ZFKXzqssZ1qaJXcFPMuah-l4XqBj-_Xx29bFSLp_wQUNzxZNTQVSbqcZndizW_toz80pKWiscxGdCAvmtXcfle/s1600/TT_dress.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5518294756652357122" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 175px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3f-N1GN6eIMlMex4A_VRmp3t7v-5ZRx4fR3q9mBsVIw-R3MevF-zEv0ZFKXzqssZ1qaJXcFPMuah-l4XqBj-_Xx29bFSLp_wQUNzxZNTQVSbqcZndizW_toz80pKWiscxGdCAvmtXcfle/s320/TT_dress.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div align="center">Grace is all ready for the Texas Tech vs. Texas game. I can't believe one year ago I was in the hospital holding this sweet newborn baby trying to figure out how to take care of her! She is truly the JOY of our lives. I did not know I could love someone as much as I love my baby girl. Watching Ryan interact with her makes me fall in love with him more and more every day. He is truly an AMAZING daddy! </span></div><div><br /><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';">She is constantly on the move! I am fairly certain she would win a crawling contest if I entered her. The most steps she has taken is 4, so she is very close to really taking off. She has a total of 6 teeth and teeth 7 & 8 will be popping through any day now. She is still a skinny mini I weighed her today and she weighed 15 pound 10 ounces (below 5 percentile) and was 28 inches long (between 10-20 percentile). We will get the official measurements are her one year check-up on Monday. She is talking up a storm. Her first word was "Hi!" the first time she said it in the right context was on vacation with my family to Josiah, her 6-month-old cousin. She also says "<span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">dada</span>" (ALLLLL the time!), "bye", "momma" (very rarely) and today she said "bow" (probably because she has heard that word and worn one since the day she was born!). She does a lot of other "talking and story-telling". The chick is never quiet, if she's quiet she's doing something she isn't suppose to! She also has the concept of no. We just firmly say "Grace" and give her a look and she shakes her head and will usually stop what she's doing. The best is when she crawls away really fast and acts like she wasn't ever doing it! She brings so much laughter and happiness to our lives! </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';"></span> </div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';">I am also quite proud of the fact the she has never had one sip of formula. I started out with the goal of breastfeeding for 6 months, once I realized how much easier it was than dealing with a bottle and the health benefits there was no doubt in my mind to continue to breastfeed. I think it is truly amazing that God created my body to provide nutrition to my sweet child! We serve an amazing God! </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';"></span></div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';"></span><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';"><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507286687373023762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLWP4Qqb6_LhdQAlVorGvShdEbCOct63R6k3zt4BoCh0Kza17eJN2g9p6TkGCZEJiQwe88KOdr08CJ6-dxBzLpXj_nCyDBy6J30UFS_VNDw-7wL3DvihyphenhyphensZ494cvTleMMJJMVt_iDCoYCd/s320/Grace_breakfast.jpg" /> <div></div><div></span><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5507286683725038274" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipfniLZOR751TFkTi9IhYFLxyw323oPm6CR1EKUdsULp538zWYt4xiZ84TDP8Ds8_qoXgwvQoBIjFSSqh1ejmZ-5G7GwmMonfm_oDIkdC5fQiVyWrZcSbyTtANPzX6CMCWIkmyXz9mXTLe/s320/G&R_breakfast.jpg" /></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:'lucida grande';">Above are a couple pictures of her birthday breakfast with mommy and daddy. Ryan had to go to New York today for work so we spent the morning together celebrating our birthday princess. My incredible mom and I have spent the afternoon getting ready for the "Enchanted Garden" birthday party on Saturday. Since it is almost midnight I am going to bed, Ryan's mom and step-dad will get in around 2 pm tomorrow. They are going to watch Grace while I run some last minute errands for the big bash on Saturday. I will try to post pictures of the party this weekend. Ryan's Aunt Nini and Uncle Corky, cousin Megan and her boyfriend Jody along with Ryan's step-brother Mace and his two kids were all there. Good thing the house is big! We missed Kara but she was loving her alone time back at home! It was a packed house but a lot of fun! We spent our time shopping and relaxing. The weather was a little off so we didn't hang out in the river. We really wanted to stay until Monday but decided to head back to the Big D on Sunday. We are going on vacation with my family next week and have a ton to do. It also took us 5 1/2 hours to get there due to traffic and we just couldn't handle sitting in traffic on the way back. Here are some pictures from our trip. Aunt Nini taught Grace to make a "camera face" every time we try to take a picture. Needless to say Grace thought it was HILARIOUS! June 4th was my last day at Perkins+Will. It was almost exactly 5 years since I started. It was an amazing 5 years, I learned a lot, met the man of my dreams, got married and had a baby! It was a very exciting chapter in my life but I am now looking forward to being a FULL-TIME stay-home-mommy.<br /><br />Here is a run-down of what has been happening the last few weeks:<br /><br />Friday June 4th (also my last day of work), my mom, sister Rachel and sister-in-law Emily and I got away for a MUCH needed girl's weekend. Grace and Josiah (Rachel's 5-month-old) came with us, but Emily's four kids stayed home with my brother Micah. We went to my mother-in-law and step-father-in-law’s house in Wimberley in the Hill Country. It was WONDERFUL! My mother-in-law was the perfect host! We all had cute note pads and eye masks on our bed when we got there. We slept in Saturday, went to Wimberley Market Days and hung out in the river and drank margaritas. We had planned to go out to dinner but decided to get take out and play a games. It was a great girl’s day! Sunday we slept in again, had breakfast and headed back to the Big D. We have decided we need to make this a bi-annual trip. It was great!</span></div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><br /><div align="center"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span></div><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485805534608316050" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiL0IU2t4J-M-9lCVReEyQD49y-tIUwn20DvfgfcreTTQxeW7V8AVaZhibjmdUMF3gBnrVKDj-N-XkIOHkp84-1ZEtpnvug4m44CpQXeHk7iZt5fF7RChVqltkMlSIKOVjC73eIDgvRQom-/s320/WimberleySwimming.JPG" border="0" /> <p align="center"> </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Grace swimming in her new pool and swimsuit from Mernie and Gramps! </span></p><span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;"></span><p align="left"><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">My first week at my “new job” was a bit rocky. Grace got her first full-blown sickness, an upper respiratory infection and double-ear infection. We were blessed to make it almost 10 months without a major illness. Even though she was very sick she was still a very good baby. Very fussy for her but in comparison to other babies not bad at all. We are very blessed with a wonderful baby girl!<br /></p></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"></span><br /><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5485806069247117618" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUeO4h0O0lJm8sWAtK8dEuyl5NYviNpVd6Jfs_qg6c8fJ4V_UnhLWJP30hpI5r51uqzN2JRjoVnpfGKqKT4DWFo9pgxIAl7mLaGhr5GT35RV5L0iC43tfXsqnwoxwAtsM9cKi-dgmlF-aT/s320/SickDays.JPG" border="0" /> <p align="center"> </span><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">One of the benefits of being sick...Mommy allowed Grace to play in the Tupperware cupboard for the first time. I had to get dinner cooked and it was the only thing that made her happy!<br /></span><br /></p><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms;">Ryan’s dad bought a “new toy", a ’48 Ford Convertible. He bought it in Ohio. Granny Bea and him flew up to pick it up and drove it home. They stopped in Dallas for a stop. Grace thought it was A LOT of fun to drive! For starters I had to drop Mommy and Grace off while I took Mernie to do some shopping while we were at the doctor. But by the time I got back, Grace had soaked her dress and mommy's jacket with spit-up, and Grace had peed all over the baby scale (they make you weigh without any clothes or diapers). So needless to say we were off to a bad start.<br /><br /><br />And as it turned out the last 2 minutes when Grace received her shots, wasn't much better. It happened so fast but Grace's loud cry made Mommy cry too. (I think Grace recovered faster than Leah!)<br /><br /><br />But enough of the bad news and on with the good news!!!!<br /><br /><br />Grace is doing GREAT! She's growing and developing exactly as she should. She weighed 10lbs 13.5oz which puts her in the 50th percentile. She is 23.75" LONG, which puts her in the 92nd percentile! (Although she measured 23" long at home). And her head was 37.6cm, which puts her in the 8th percentile.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFc2IchnJ8tcvMayHFoobFUzC7YhVx5tuuc0Wvo-vb0a7yLrsPfnekb6MW2lhC4FPtDZlNfsv9dPM9QppmvEQsGrtqiWBYjY1ufXAOBhu2ukYANvdjL6SiJ-Hb1ZJNwqRMe2S3vZkmABsG/s1600-h/PICT0904_small.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395988561074642162" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFc2IchnJ8tcvMayHFoobFUzC7YhVx5tuuc0Wvo-vb0a7yLrsPfnekb6MW2lhC4FPtDZlNfsv9dPM9QppmvEQsGrtqiWBYjY1ufXAOBhu2ukYANvdjL6SiJ-Hb1ZJNwqRMe2S3vZkmABsG/s320/PICT0904_small.JPG" /></a>So all in all it was a good 2-month check-up for Grace Elizabeth. Our next one is at 4 months.<br /><br /><br />And here is Princess Grace taking a nap after the doctor's visit.Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15580447846723894590noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7490071118463673723.post-49716967456291877662009-10-19T21:01:00.009-05:002009-10-23T22:29:20.540-05:00...past due update<div style="TEXT-ALIGN: center" align="left">I know that I'm way behind with updates of Grace...so here's a quick rundown of what's been happening in The Robinson household.<br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYu9af18uhRh34s9h0US3VgCdOnSkxI1bfYEgjCKHjmLl3y1XN2P1VzdIkbR0ORZ1u3NeJqRJ_KEyB8MiH5h3e38NYTI8XhfCr4K-cKmaqG_wX86s4TegXlUGT5ZfwH35BFlPQXJYkWx3r/s1600-h/Mernie-Grace193_small.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395993496987127218" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYu9af18uhRh34s9h0US3VgCdOnSkxI1bfYEgjCKHjmLl3y1XN2P1VzdIkbR0ORZ1u3NeJqRJ_KEyB8MiH5h3e38NYTI8XhfCr4K-cKmaqG_wX86s4TegXlUGT5ZfwH35BFlPQXJYkWx3r/s200/Mernie-Grace193_small.jpg" /></a><br /><br />September 4 - Mernie (Ryan's mom) came up to stay with us for a week and help out with Grace. Thankfully Neena has been able to watch her during the day instead of Grace having to go to daycare.<br /><br />October 8 - I was asked to give a lecture at Texas Tech University to over 250 freshman Architecture students. I can honestly say that when I was sitting there in the same class back in 1995, I never in a million years thought I'd be giving a college lecture. My lecture was titled "A day in the life of an Architect". (see link at the bottom of this post for a video that our visualization gurus at work created for me to use. I'm not in the video, but it's a cool view into our firm and the architecture profession.)<br /><br />October 9 - We celebrated our friend Dana's 30th birthday and Grace got to hang out with Uncle Micah and Auntie Em and cousins for her first night of babysitting. And afterwards, Grace slept through the night for the first time!!!!<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAFhVAHkVzxRFWf6S3EYXraJ5h4G_B6DyOanLPfWYw2BLYsRg1Dp7XXEJglKObRJ0CL0zWv79yZ4_yVXbYTB6bq8F-edSbaItpbiTDCfT4i92YRUjj_0RftP5sGuS4hXRXJCwaWZoloxd2/s1600-h/PICT0797_small.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395996563277037266" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAFhVAHkVzxRFWf6S3EYXraJ5h4G_B6DyOanLPfWYw2BLYsRg1Dp7XXEJglKObRJ0CL0zWv79yZ4_yVXbYTB6bq8F-edSbaItpbiTDCfT4i92YRUjj_0RftP5sGuS4hXRXJCwaWZoloxd2/s200/PICT0797_small.JPG" /></a>October 16 - Grace's first road trip to Houston. We stopped off in Kingwood to visit Aunt Kim, Uncle Will, and cousins Rachel, Paige, and Sami. Mernie, Gramps and Uncle Jesse were there too. Saturday we spent the day with Granny Bea and _______ (Ryan's dad...who is waiting for Grace to give him his nickname.) Saturday night we went over to Jack and Kelly's for a gettogether to celebrate Grace and Aunt Tinti's birthday.<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAYq4OVJ2ojwznYnF6AgEulccBt3f-JlVGyUkgHn_JJIw80oNouaY-EG199WyThvPaxAjU62PufEFkXkc2mf_Cw5wlo_KGeHSTXdalmMwEhMeEfc02tTsrIP3MU2WyQAbb_rKg6OFniXfe/s1600-h/PICT0833_small.JPG"><img style="MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 200px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 150px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5395997036702826178" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAYq4OVJ2ojwznYnF6AgEulccBt3f-JlVGyUkgHn_JJIw80oNouaY-EG199WyThvPaxAjU62PufEFkXkc2mf_Cw5wlo_KGeHSTXdalmMwEhMeEfc02tTsrIP3MU2WyQAbb_rKg6OFniXfe/s200/PICT0833_small.JPG" /></a>Sunday we went to see Rulla (Grace's great-grandmother) and Rulla said "she's PERFECT!" She was 8lbs 2oz and 21.25" long.<br />Both Leah and Grace are doing great.<br /><br />Here's a couple of quick pictures, one before we left the house for the hospital and one of Daddy and his new baby girl. We'll put up more pictures later after she takes a bath and gets on a new pink outfit (of course).<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgThaVD5akGFkSrwtobuArC3Vg5BN9G8VU85Wn1JgjKLs9M64hGxLbzwfpqOVfl3PMuL_40UxhTCOZl1tCTY72PZypSbY_7wSPq08Nkl4wTWVqC0IPL-b9HRZx2qaaaflyvuGwMWunh63Qr/s1600-h/PICT0003copy.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371893458549755474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgThaVD5akGFkSrwtobuArC3Vg5BN9G8VU85Wn1JgjKLs9M64hGxLbzwfpqOVfl3PMuL_40UxhTCOZl1tCTY72PZypSbY_7wSPq08Nkl4wTWVqC0IPL-b9HRZx2qaaaflyvuGwMWunh63Qr/s320/PICT0003copy.jpg" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIcSWclwpKJAroFjvxH5maB26yFuReOTX5lqpYwKB2OBRvsmfFRMq0hmvUqbbfj1cyaqjXTxjyvsp8r-VzgU-wFJWBRhUVxlZAvWss8rhHidxO8T5505CUr6vqxoMNHOKmCQXP21_WxSyD/s1600-h/PICT0115copy.jpg"><img style="MARGIN: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; WIDTH: 320px; FLOAT: right; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: pointer" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5371893468005341826" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIcSWclwpKJAroFjvxH5maB26yFuReOTX5lqpYwKB2OBRvsmfFRMq0hmvUqbbfj1cyaqjXTxjyvsp8r-VzgU-wFJWBRhUVxlZAvWss8rhHidxO8T5505CUr6vqxoMNHOKmCQXP21_WxSyD/s320/PICT0115copy.jpg" /></a>Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15580447846723894590noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7490071118463673723.post-20604879432218539002009-07-27T10:59:00.003-05:002009-07-27T11:55:14.315-05:00Surfing<div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDg7CHYRSJDrQvxtcZEmNksEYTAqzjhJabaHv6hsT4zbrsS17kEhifMOeMjjWixMU3GJG3Dr492YBnLIAKiErnv9j-6hp8EzVHNs0FTfwA5cgn2zm8CKGXUvg_sdf5mmBlAa98U1_O4JBD/s1600-h/IMG_0108.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5363179546909032274" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDg7CHYRSJDrQvxtcZEmNksEYTAqzjhJabaHv6hsT4zbrsS17kEhifMOeMjjWixMU3GJG3Dr492YBnLIAKiErnv9j-6hp8EzVHNs0FTfwA5cgn2zm8CKGXUvg_sdf5mmBlAa98U1_O4JBD/s320/IMG_0108.JPG" border="0" /></a>Well with baby Grace almost here, we decided to take the boat out one last time and enjoy it before we're too busy changing diapers. So we went out to Lake Ray Hubbard (close to Dallas) with Jeff, Dana, and their daughter Hannah.</div><br /><div>So here are a couple of pictures of us wakesurfing behind the boat.</div><br /><div>(and for those not familiar with wakesurfing...) It's not as dangerous as it looks, but you can only do it behind full inboard boats since the prop is up underneath the boat and not sticking out behind. Otherwise it's similar to wakeboarding, but you're only going 10mph as opposed to 20mph. You get pulled up with a similar rope, but once you get comfortable you can toss the rope back in the boat and SURF the 4' tall wake. And once you get really comfortable, you can have someone toss you a beer and enjoy a frosty beverage while you surf.</div><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGwhIeFUaOnLW_gjYSIc5KC6CG8BtLmJcZ8oJ0Oe2oFY8La0naXShii_W6c7EfIefIgUTBksOORLLfXkySFu5T36PxAXZjJ0AmW2hysCdleNG5nnqLUojhTjtMBsVA5l3NX6hhs8ZlDmwG/s1600-h/IMG_0105.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5363179554903881218" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGwhIeFUaOnLW_gjYSIc5KC6CG8BtLmJcZ8oJ0Oe2oFY8La0naXShii_W6c7EfIefIgUTBksOORLLfXkySFu5T36PxAXZjJ0AmW2hysCdleNG5nnqLUojhTjtMBsVA5l3NX6hhs8ZlDmwG/s320/IMG_0105.JPG" border="0" /></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh68_2h6J7UPbnOtg6fEfbuXvYY_jBe1_t_cLKRnyneKwc-CUz-90pAx_c96rf16GbKqGjjnOrbWVz3XEEDMRPEBKcgHhZzeilWlJPG8s6y-331i1G_rBBDmXlQZKdQJVnUmTaXHz2i0T5X/s1600-h/IMG_0103.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5363179551313270722" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 240px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh68_2h6J7UPbnOtg6fEfbuXvYY_jBe1_t_cLKRnyneKwc-CUz-90pAx_c96rf16GbKqGjjnOrbWVz3XEEDMRPEBKcgHhZzeilWlJPG8s6y-331i1G_rBBDmXlQZKdQJVnUmTaXHz2i0T5X/s320/IMG_0103.JPG" border="0" /></a></div></div>Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15580447846723894590noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7490071118463673723.post-3760681622749094862009-05-07T16:41:00.005-05:002009-07-27T12:24:18.051-05:00Revenge again...this time it was our revenge.<br /><br />So it's been a little while since I posted about my youth getting revenge on me...and since then, there have been some new developments.<br /><br />We ultimately found out from my best friend Jeff that his wife Dana along with our good friends Kevin & Stacy were the ones that wrapped our house.<br /><br />Naturally I wanted revenge, mainly against Kevin. So after some deliberation and Leah telling me that I wasn't allowed to do anything illegal, we came up with the idea to wrap the INSIDE of the Bowen's house while they were gone for 10 days in China.<br /><br />We wrapped pretty much everything in sight and even several things out of sight that we knew they wouldn't find for days, months, and even years later. Kevin has said that every couple of weeks he finds more toilet paper in the strangest places (suit pocket, sleeve of a shirt, inside his boots, inside the door bell...and the list goes on.)<br /><br />Here are the pictures of the process and aftermath. A good time was had by all, including Jeff & Dana's kids (Michael and Hannah).<br /><br /><table style="WIDTH: 194px"><tbody><tr><td style="BACKGROUND: url(http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/transparent_album_background.gif) no-repeat left 50%; HEIGHT: 194px" align="middle"><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/rnr881477/RevengeOnTheBowenS?authkey=Gv1sRgCOPzmub84u6NFA&feat=embedwebsite"><img style="MARGIN: 1px 0px 0px 4px" height="160" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_9ng6Vo3Oubc/SdpU2KH5XdE/AAAAAAAAAYE/cqCq6Wmn_3E/s160-c/RevengeOnTheBowenS.jpg" width="160" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="FONT-SIZE: 11px; FONT-FAMILY: arial,sans-serif; TEXT-ALIGN: center"><a style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold; COLOR: #4d4d4d; TEXT-DECORATION: none" href="http://picasaweb.google.com/rnr881477/RevengeOnTheBowenS?authkey=Gv1sRgCOPzmub84u6NFA&feat=embedwebsite">Revenge on the Bowen's</a></td></tr></tbody></table><br />The Bowen's have vowed to get us back, especially Jeff and Dana since they're the ones who told us, but Kevin has said this, "the only thing that made me mad about coming home after traveling for 14 hours from China, while being sick, is that I didn't think of doing this to you first!"Ryanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15580447846723894590noreply@blogger.com0
